Going to Langkawi in an Hour's Time
I will go to Langkawi at about 3:00pm this evening. This is a business trip and I should be back the next day. I have been to this sleepy group of islands numerous times and feel very relaxed with much greenery and slower pace of life here in the mostly village type of lifestyle. The happening place is Kuah where the Langkawi's government complex, LADA, shopping lots, food outlets and more are situated here.

Just Came Back from Kuala Lumpur
I just arrived home in Penang this afternoon and after taking a short nap, I started to blog. There are a few quotations to be done and I hope I can get them completed by today. It seems that there are new enquiries almost every day and here I am busy replying them. Some of them have turned out to be our customers while others are just curious enquiry to check pricing. I am getting used to travelling and shuttling between Penang and KL and getting the hang of it.

Going down to KL this evening and then to Pahang
I shall be travelling more frequently now as my company business will be concentrated more in Kuala Lumpur. We have already rented a condo for business purposes and need to furnish it with a computer, printer, fax, etc. This way, whenever we travel from Penang, there will be a savings cost instead of staying in a hotel. Let’s say the hotel stay is RM250 per night. If there are many trips down per month, say 10 days of stay, then it would cost RM2,500 but our rental is RM800 for whole month. Plus a bit of spending on furniture, etc, it will save the company money in the long run.

Just Came Back from Kuala Lumpur
I was back from KL yesterday evening and my company just rented a place for future office use in Subang Jaya. It was a condominium in Subang Perdana Court. There are still computer, tables, etc to be furnished. We have visited a few clients and stayed in The Submit Hotel and Pyramid Tower, Sunway. I think there will be less time for part time blogging as I am so busy with my office work. But I will still blog when time permits now and then.

Successfully Installed Autocad
When my computer was repaired, most of the application that I have been using were gone as the hard disk was formatted and installed with new software. I have CDs of Autocad and after installing them one by one, it asked for verification which I promptly keyed in. It was a large application, so installation took some time at least 40 minutes. I am please that it is working now and I can continue to use it to do civil drawings, design logos, etc.

Online invoicing and payment
In my job, sometimes I create invoices using Microsoft Word and send to the company’s clients for payment after the job is done. I can only work in the home office for this purpose. But had I been traveling outstation, then the invoicing has to wait until I get back. Now with and Online Invoicing and Payment system, you no longer need to physically be at your usual office computer just to send out invoices. And you can work anywhere if you are traveling... say from the hotel, or in the taxi. U-DOO Expands Cell Phone Fun and Personalization
Nowadays, even schooling teenagers own a cell phone and it is rather common to see youngsters talking or smsing on the cell phones. In Malaysian, teenagers use their cell phones as a social gadget to keep in touch with their friends while the business men use them to secure projects and liaise with clients. The ubiquitous cell phone is something you should not leave behind whenever you go out.
By the way, cell phone personalization features have just been taken to new, cool heights by U-DOO by Wirefly. With U-DOO, users can custom-build some fun talking Avatars, download them to their cell phone or email them to their friends, and have them appear and speak their cheeky messages as custom ring tones. U-DOO by Wirefly is an application that adds a great deal of custom fun to most of today's cell phone models. It allows users to build custom Avatars, select a message for the characters to speak and send the finished products to a cell phone, to a friend via email or to a MySpace account. The talking characters can then be set to function as custom ring tones.
The first step is to choose an avatar character from among 20 options. Facial features, hair color, clothing, hat, accessories and background can be modified and personalized at the click of a mouse. Avatar characters range from common face and hair types to more outrageously fun ones such as Manga to sumo-wrestlers.
