Last week, my wife and I hosted a Super Bowl party, and it went really great. We invited our neighborhood friends, as well as our friends from work. We had a lot of people come out and everyone wanted to contribute to the food supply. Before the game started we had a ton of food. It was great. From what I saw, everyone had a good time. Our television is large enough so that everyone could see the game easily. Also, I set up the house stereo speakers so that we could have surround sound. That turned out to be a good decision. It really helped people get into the game.
In all, I think we really hosted a great Super Bowl party. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we had more food and drinks than we could finish. The only thing I would have changed was the fact that our kitchen wasn"t looking so great. Most people stayed in the living room, but I"d still like to get it remodeled for when we host parties in the future. I think I"ll search for sears kitchen remodel South Dakota tonight and see what I can do to fix it.

Making Money is Fun
Making money is fun, but you have to certainly put in much effort there. You also need to make sure that you make more than you spend. Otherwise making money before fruitless if you have higher expenditure than savings. It would defeat the purpose of saving up for your retirement down the road. I love work from a home office and have been doing it since February 2004. I work at my own time schedule and be my own boss. And the best part is I get SOCSO and EPF benefits.
Just Came Back from KL
I just came back from KL last night from a business trip. My colleague has collected the check from a client for badminton courts installed in KL. It was a mad frenzy to search for the office as we blindly follow our instincts. But alas, after 1 hour, I decided to call the client and asked for directions. That was when I decided to get out from the hypermarket and go back to Shell petrol station and start from there. Finally, we found our target but not without much sweat and walking around.

Coupons or Interests from My Bonds
Every month, I get slightly over $200 from my bonds. These are coupons or interests accumulated over the month. And every 3 months, I get about $1,400 in total. The coupon rate is 5% per annum for 3 years. One of my bonds has matured just last month and I put the money into Fixed Deposits for about 3% interests rate. I just don't have the time to invest in the share market as I hold a full time job and cannot afford to monitor the movements of the market and predict a bull run or bear run. So, to avoid unnecessary stress and headaches, I decided to invest in safe money instruments like FD and bonds.

Attended Frances Yip's Concert
I attended Frances Yip's concert a few days ago and my God, she has such a powerful golden voice! I bought her CDs for $30 and I love every one of her songs. She studied in a convent school and will never pose in the nude or wear too revealing clothes to bring in more sales. I believe she is a practicing Christian with strong values. The concert ticket cost $101 per person and the seat was in a corner right at the top. But nevertheless, there is a giant screen where you can see her facial features and expression when singing. She changed her clothes 4 times during the performance and it was well worth the money put in. She is a very talented lady and blessed with a golden voice.
Going to the bank later
I was on a business trip last week when I got a call from Public Bank requesting me to go there and discuss about my investment in government bonds that has matured and money put back into my savings account. I am not sure what the bank officer wants to discuss with me about but I need to weigh the pros and cons of further investment that involves unit trusts or share market. With uncertainty in the Middle East, and Japan's problems, the share market is very volatile and I never believe in putting my hard-earned money there. And I don't plan to invest in properties as money put in properties are illiquid. You cannot withdraw immediately or sell immediately and you will need emergency cash if anything happens.
My relative is a lawyer
I have a nephew who is a lawyer and trained in Australia. He did very well for his pre-university exams and got offered a job even before he graduated. By now I am sure he is a practicing lawyer in Australia. In Singapore, it is not easy to get to study for a law degree in the National University of Singapore or simply abbreviated as NUS. You need to exercise self-supremacy, have an extroverted character and gung-ho attitude. This attributes are needed because you need to be able to fight a case for your client in court and to win. That is where Topamax lawsuit comes in where you can make claims for your clients who are victimized. You also need to have a winner's attitude and not be too emotionally attached to your clients.

Got paid today in interests for my bonds
Today I received RM 205 in my Public Bank account for bonds invested some time back. It gives higher returns than Fixed Deposits which is at 5% compared to 2.75% for FD. The bonds are at 3 years maturity. Tomorrow, my 2 fixed deposits at Maybank will mature after 1 year tenure and I am going to put for monthly maturity compared to yearly. I always keep track of my finances and how much I have accumulated. This will give me an indication on how much to spend and whether I have reached my targeted savings. Making money and earning it is fun!
